It's simple: we don't just want you to get healthy, we want you to learn how to stay healthy. We believe that the largest advancement in healthcare is the informed consumer. More and more people are learning more and more about healthcare. While half of our mission is to make sure you get the best care possible, the other half of our mission is to educate and empower you on health and wellness. We believe that the more you know about your own health (and health in general), the healthier you will be.
Dr. Lindsay Engl was born and raised in Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!) and is a graduate of Buffalo State College (2011) as well as The New York Chiropractic College (2015). Growing up, Dr. Engl found holistic healthcare fascinating and integrated as much as she could into her own life. Sharing the knowledge and skills she continues to develop is her passion and being new to Washington, DC she is very excited to share that with her community. Dr. Engl knows that the power of movement has the ability to heal her body and mind so in her spare time she stays as active as possible. She is an avid yogi, cyclist, hiker and weightlifter.
Dr. Engl is always looking for tools to add to her chiropractic tool belt. No two bodies move or respond the same to care so staying up to date on techniques is very important to her. Currently she offers Diversified adjustments, Thompson Drop Technique, Cox Flexion-Distraction, ART, Graston, Cupping, Kinesiology Taping, and Manipulation Under Anesthesia for those special cases.
Born and raised in Ellicott City, MD. I got into chiropractic after seeing the results my friends and family were having while under chiropractic care. And I really liked how I could affect others lives without the use of medication. I sustained an injury through sports and was prescribed pain medication and I didn’t like how it only helped my problem while I was taking the medication. I am passionate about helping people realize that they do not have to be on pain medication for the rest of their lives and being able to help people without the need for pharmaceuticals.
In my free time I really enjoy watching and playing sports, watching movies, traveling and trying out new restaurants. I really enjoying practicing in DC because we have a very vast and eclectic patient population so it's never the same treatments everyday. I love all the historic buildings and the history of DC. It's really awesome to be able to practice in the capital of the United States.
I went to Lynchburg College and received a bachelors of science degree in Athletic Training. I went to New York Chiropractic College for chiro school. After chiro school I was the head athletic training for the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) at Dundalk and then I was the head athletic trainer for the Baltimore Brigade; a professional arena football team. I am still a certified athletic trainer. I have a background in Flexion-Distraction, drop table, diversified, gonstead, kinesio tape (levels 1 & 2) and activator technique.
